Let us walk you through the steps of our new home construction process:
Step 1 - Getting To Know You
Schedule a consultation with our team - In our initial meeting we’ll get to know each other and share information with you about our team and our company. We’ll learn about your expectations for a new home and what elements of your custom home are most important to you. We’ll discuss your ideal timeline, location and price point. If you need help acquiring a lot to build on, we’ll get started on that process with you as well.
Step 2 - Plan and Design
Once we have discussed your expectations, we’ll work with you to design a one of a kind custom floor plan for your home. You can choose from one of our customizable home plans, bring your own home plan or design a new floor plan from scratch with our team. You’ll work with our team every step of the way as we go through all the details room by room in order to give you a clear visual of how the home will look and flow, as well as a thorough understanding of your options for the building materials and finishes. This process helps to define the budget more accurately as well.
Step 3 - Quote Process
Once we have completed architectural drawings and identified a home site, we can begin to quote your project. Our quoting process involves sending all the plans out to our subcontractors to get real prices for building materials and labor. We then create a final budget for your project and present you with a proposal for the cost to build your home. Once the pricing and details are finalized, a purchase agreement is signed.
Step 4 - Interior Design & Selections
This is what most people call the “fun part.” Your meeting will take place at our design center, a wonderland of choices and ideas for the interior of your home. Our in-house interior designer will help you feel confident and comfortable about your selections with expert insights that help you achieve continuity in design, as well as the personal touch that makes your custom home one-of-a-kind.
Step 5 - Build
We want to help you get into your dream home as quickly as possible. So as soon as your plans and selections are complete, we submit for building permits, and prepare for excavation and construction. Breaking ground is an exciting step, and homeowners are invited to follow along every stage of the process through our project management software. Log in to the online system to view progress photos of your home being built, see the detailed calendar, track your change orders, and ask us any questions you might have.
Step 6 - Final Punch Out
When your home is nearing completion, our construction coordinator will schedule a final walkthrough with you. During this meeting you’ll have the chance to inspect your new home and create a punch out list. Then we’ll put on all the finishing touches in preparation for move in. We’ll also give you a new home orientation and some information about maintaining your custom home. Add these items to your usual monthly home maintenance list!
Step 7 - Move In
Congratulations, your dream home is now complete! Get ready to move into your new luxury custom built home!
Step 8 - Warranty and Support
Don’t worry, we won’t leave you hanging. We're not just there for you during the planning and building process. After all, this is the place you will call home and create memories with your family. We take pride in building quality houses that stand the test of time- and that will truly be a home for you and yours.
We want to help you make the most of your new house. That’s why we’ll come through and do a one-year walkthrough with you and warranty any issues that may arise in your first year. Every home we build is backed by a one-year warranty on craftsmanship, two-year warranty on mechanicals and ten-year warranty on the structure.
